Weekend Reading: Freedom Edition!

By Kevin

So, I finally finished my final exam this Tuesday, and I am free until January! I still have a full-time job to go to, but I will be on vacation in a couple of weeks so that will wrap up soon. Also, a full-time job only is a lot easier to manage than a full-time job + finals!

In January, it will start up again, but for now I am enjoying the renewed freedom, and unfortunately I was even a bit too lazy for most of the rest of the week. Now that I’m recharged, I look forward to getting back into the swing of things and hopefully catching up on some of the great posts that I have missed.

Invest It Wisely is hosting a giveaway with over $300 in prizes to be given away! Half of the prize money is going to the charity of the winner’s choice, and the other half to the winner directly, so you won’t want to miss this one!

I also wrote about How to Find the Home of Your Dreams, and there was a great guest post by Tony Chou on How He Made $150, Lost $200, and Re-learned a Valuable Lesson. There was also a recent guest post by Jake Ashaye on 6 Simple Ways to Save on Household Expenses.

On to the weekend reading:

    Congrats!!!!

I know the feeling. Though I’m only working part time. It’s still super intense though. We get to have a small reprieve for a few months before we jump back into the deep end of the swimming pool.

Have a great vacation- are you guys going anywhere?

      For 2-3 days, but nothing super-far or super-expensive. 😉

I will actually be working harder during the vacation than I am now — at least, that’s the plan. 😉

That was my plan too and it’s not going so well lol!!

My goal was to be a blogging machine and its not working because I have all these xmas parties/ events/ get togethers to go to and all these presents to buy.

        AHHHHCCCKK! 😉

Glad to hear you finished your exam! Must feel good eh?

I’ve got a course on the go myself, a third-year Health Admin. course at Athabasca. I should be done it in another 6 weeks. Can’t wait 🙂

Hope you had a great weekend, will stop by later this week.

Will you be done the entire program? Definitely sweet if you have! I still have one more course to do in the winter, and then…. a master’s? Haven’t quite decided yet!

Congratulations on being done! I was actually just talking to my youngest son who is sick of taking tests and doing homework- and he is only 13!

How much longer until you are all done?

    • Kevin says

      December 9, 2011 at 9:59 pm

Hahaha… I no longer remember the kind of homework and tests I was doing at 13. I was probably fed up back then, too!

Congrats on getting the exam over with. I am sure it feels great. Now you can enjoy some time before the holidays.

Yep! It feels a bit strange cause the first week I was destressing and actually felt lazy because my time was suddenly so open. In January everything will start up again!
