Welcome to my six month giveaway contest! On September 29th, it will have been six months since Invest It Wisely began. I can’t believe that almost six months have already passed since I started blogging.
It’s been a great six months. I have gotten to know many great readers and fellow bloggers, joined the Yakezie, a great community of finance bloggers, and most importantly, I have enjoyed it every step of the way.
As a thank you to everyone who has helped me, supported me, and given valuable feedback along the way, I’ve decided to throw a six month blog anniversary bash! My site is where it is thanks to you, so I’d like to give something back. The contest is now closed; thank you all for your participation!

@Everyone else
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for entering!
Kevin,
Congrats on your sixmonthiversary. Many (myself included) are ready to give up at the six month mark. I am glad that you are enthused and keep constantly improving. You, by the way, are a great encouragement to me. I am looking forward to seeing you in the blogosphere for years to come!
Thanks for that feedback, Joe! Sometimes I feel pretty bad whenever I see the numbers go down or whenever I hit some negative commentary, but at the same time it’s a motivation to kick myself in the behind and keep going!
I think you post some really great topics, by the way. I love how you use narratives to teach us about personal finance… it’s a really great way to get the point across!
Congratulations on your 1st 6 months-here’s to many more!
Thanks Barb, and thanks for sponsoring!

LOL, Mr. “unverified” 😛
Awesome site! Good way to help people with their finances! Happy 6 months!
Congratulations on your 6 month anniversary, Kevin. here’s wishing you many many more.
With regards to the site, I would love to see more investing themed posts such as your thesis behind owning dividend-paying precious metals and energy stocks such as Paramount Energy Trust and Spartan Exploration Ltd.
Good point, Arjun. I haven’t talked about those too much, but in general I see them as insurance + diversification. I’ll write up a little bit more about what I see in a few future posts. My friend BTI has been hammering out this niche pretty well, and me and him are on the same page on many of these topics.
Dave’s classes should be taught to our children in their senior year of high school. And, required reading in college. I see a lot of classes that could actually benefit from these readings, such as Economics 201 (obvious), and english, sociology as well as history.
Wow! This is a cool website. I’m happy to have found it! Thanks for a chance to win some fantastic goodies also!
